Remember last week when we showed you this “speedy” activity?
Well, we were so “revved up” by it that we couldn’t resist adding a twist and turning it into a math activity! Here’s a free printable you can download now and be ready to go! [gview file=”https://californiakindergartenassociation.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Cars-number-cards-0-201.pdf”] Simply print out the cards – cardstock or other heavier paper would be better, but isn’t necessary. Then laminate for durability and cut them apart. Working in a small group, the students draw a card, then use their little toy cars to form the correct number. Easy, hands-on and fun! We’ve included some empty cards for zero and the inevitable missing ones… {sigh}. :)
Have you used this activity? Done last week’s? Let us know how it went! We’d love to hear from you!
Rita Maiorelle says
For the more advanced students I would have them write the number down as a prolem and solve it. (I.E. 12 +34=)
