Laurel Ferreira
With a passion for education that spans over two decades, Laurel Ferreira is deeply rooted in international education and human development. She has had the privilege of working with educators and schools sites not only in California but across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
She works in Carlsbad, California developing the district’s Transitional Kindergarten program as their facilitator and serves as a lecturer at California State University San Marcos, where she shares her knowledge and insights with future educators, ABA therapists, and social workers. She is also on the board of the California Association of IB world schools.
She believes the classroom is not just a space for instruction but a laboratory for lifelong learning. She bases her practice on the science of learning and is dedicated to translating that passion into practical engaging and effective teaching strategies.
Join us as we explore behavior through the context of social and emotional skills and as we transform the thinking patterns of students in order to develop emotional intelligence. We will focus on how behavior and learning go hand in hand. Let’s build your toolbox of behavioral strategies that empower students to handle various situations effectively while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Linda Hamilton
Linda has worked in the field of education for 32 years. She has enjoyed the roles of teacher, director, specialist and instructional coach. Her absolute favorite role was that of teacher because of the direct effect on kids: building their self confidence, teaching important skills and helping them learn to find their success. During her career, she was honored as a Texas Regional Teacher of the Year and an Outstanding Workshop Leader from Vanderbilt University’s Teaching Center.
Her professional goal now is to help other teachers. Her motto is “I care about teachers because I care about kids.”
Ronald Mah, M.A., Ph.D.
I am Ronald Mah, therapist, trainer, and educator… son, father, and husband… activist, “radical,” and interventionist… speaker and author… child of immigrant parents. I seek to combine all relevant concepts, principles, and philosophy with practical techniques and guidelines for effective and productive results.
I use stories, experiences, humor, and wisdom (gained from sometimes less than wise earlier decisions!) from diverse realms to illustrate important points in a stimulating and highly motivating style. Making the process practical yet conceptually sound for workshop participants is the goal of my work.
