With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we thought we’d share this quick, easy sight word activity. All you’ll need is some chalk (preferably colored, but plain white will work just fine), some 8.5′”x11″ construction paper, some Q-tips and some paint. Best of all? Your prep is super simple. Just cut your paper in half and write the sight words you’d like your students to practice. You can stick to all white, or mix it up with different colors and have them match the paint to the chalk color.
Then simply pour out a small amount of paint and get out some Q-tips and you’re ready to go! Simply have your students dot paint along the letters to form the sight words. This is great fine motor practice, too!
Happy sight word writing and happy Valentine’s Day!
