This week’s Tuesday Teaching Tip comes to you on a Wednesday. Evening. Ahem. But, hey – it’s summer, right? Time to slow down a bit. ;) CKA Board Member and Kindergarten teacher Kimberly DeMille shares this week’s fabulous idea for a Common Core kindergarten science lesson with us.
One of my favorite units/ lessons is living/non-living. I start off by teaching my class the song “It’s Alive/Non-living” by Maryann Harman. Then we sort photographs.
Last, we record two living & two non-living things in our science journals.
