Today’s Tuesday Teaching Tip comes to us from CKA president and Adjunct Professor/Director of a Junior Kindergarten, Nancy Cappelloni. She shares with us a tip for helping kids with sensory issues to be successful in the classroom.
The box of squishy toys is a collection I have that I offer a student to hold if I notice he or she also needs a little sensory feedback and likes to hold things, or for a student that may be anxious and is helped by a little soft toy to hold or to put in her lap.
Do you have a favorite tool to use for kids who need to be manipulating something? We’d love to hear about it!
